MADD Recognizes Sgt. Jerry Dumont

Congratulations to Sgt. Jerry Dumont who was recognized by Portage County Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for his OVI enforcement efforts at their annual law enforcement awards banquet.  Sgt. Dumont is currently our midnight shift supervisor, and this is his 6th time receiving this award from MADD.

Coffee With A Cop Community Event

Reserve Police Officer Opportunity

The Brimfield Police Department is currently accepting applications for a Reserve Police Officer position.  Applicants should have a current Ohio Peace Officer certificate or be currently enrolled in a police academy program.  Candidates being considered for Reserve Police Officer positions will undergo a panel interview, background investigation and further evaluations.  If accepted, Reserve Police Officers will complete a training program…read more →

BPD Assists with Shooter Training

On June 29th, Capt. Adkins and Officer Dinkelman assisted Mogadore PD with active shooter scenario training held at their high school as one of multiple law enforcement agencies participating.  This training assistance was a continuation of the Instructor training BPD officers have received in response to active shooters, and a good example of area agencies sharing resources.

K9 Havoc in Training

Say hello to K9 Havoc!  Havoc and Sgt. Knarr were in training today in some very warm weather.  Havoc is pictured here preparing for scenario training with Officer Gramlich in the bite suit, and Sgt. Knarr.  The K-9 teams conduct training on a weekly basis, often in conjunction with K-9 teams from area law enforcement agencies.

BPD Supports Back To School

  Did you know?  The Brimfield Police Department accepts donations of school supplies to benefit students in need within the Field Local School district.  Look for the sign in front of the police department when school supply donations are being accepted.  Thank you for your support of our students!

New Chief Sworn In

  On June 10, 2015,  Roy E.
