BPD Participates in K-9 First Aid & Trauma Training

BPD at Eagle Scout Ceremony

Thank-you to Jonathan Cramer and his family for inviting BPD to attend his Eagle Scout ceremony on Saturday June 10th at First Baptist Church in Streetsboro.  Jonathan’s Eagle Scout project was the K-9 Memorial Dog Park on Lynn Rd. Congratulations Jonathan on your well-deserved achievement!

Arrests Made at Prescott Pike Construction Site

Two suspects were caught breaking into a construction trailer at Prescott Pike early morning 06/01/2017 while armed with a stolen handgun. The stolen handgun was a 9mm Smith & Wesson MP Shield reported stolen in Wayne County by its rightful owner. The loaded gun was found by officers checking the construction site off of Sanctuary View Drive at approximately 2:30 a.m. where the…read more →

BPD at Click It or Ticket Kick-Off Event

BPD recently participated in the statewide “Click It or Ticket” seat belt safety initiative kick off event held at Aurora Premium Outlets. Mock Crash Event for FHS Prom Awareness

BPD Officers, along with Brimfield Fire, Suffield Fire, the Ohio State Patrol, and the Portage County Coroner’s Office were on hand at Field High School in advance of FHS prom to put on a mock DUI crash scene for the students.  Thank you to all of the staff, students and volunteers who helped to make this event a success.

BPD Partners with OSP for Traffic Interdiction

BPD partnered with the Ohio State Patrol on May 9th for traffic interdiction on I-76 using the OSP air unit. Thanks to OSP Post #67 here in Portage County for the partnership.

Cookies & Milk With a Cop

BPD Officers were at Brimfield Elementary School recently for our “Cookies and Milk With a Cop” event to promote youth reading.  Officers read to all of the 2nd grade classes and we brought a whole lot of home-made chocolate chip cookies and milk along with us. BPD recently held our Senior Breakfast event in partnership with Applebees.  Our officers and volunteers served breakfast to our community’s seniors on Thursday April 27th and Friday April 28th.  Thank you to everyone who participated and to our seniors who came out to spend time with our staff – we appreciate it!

Boy Scouts Tour BPD With Aft. Shift Officers
